Rob Kennedy, Chairman, Synergy Group, is the stream Chair for Process and Collaboration - Promoting citizen-centric approaches, objectives alignment and improved fiscal management through interdepartmental strategies and the panel discussion facilitator for the 12.45pm – 1.15pm Panel Discussion: Sharing innovative strategic planning processes to drive citizen outcomes.

Panelists, Michael Roses, Chief Information Officer, Australian Fisheries Management Authority; Joumana El Hassan, Assistant Secretary, Shared Services & Technology - Chief Operating Officer Division, Department of Veterans’ Affairs and Paul Boehme, Chief Information Officer, ComCare will discuss:
•    Enhancing the use of leading-edge data, and digital and methodological tools to inform better policy and program outcomes;
•    Automating manual business processes to improve accuracy and speed of financial and personnel data processing;
•    How their department/function worked to drive process excellence within corporate services and what impact has this had; and 
•    Biggest process transformation lesson learned or piece of advice?

Other key Sessions Include:
Outlining process innovation during 2020 and introducing future-proofing processes for business continuity with Colin Hunter, First Assistant Secretary Biosecurity Operations Division, Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment.

Examining recent business approaches to innovation to understand how we can improve public sector policy and delivery with Kate Cameron, Acting Chief Executive Officer, Office of Industry Innovation and Science Australia.

Robert is currently Synergy’s Chairman having previously been one of the original founders and Executive Chairman/CEO of Acumen Alliance after 10 years consulting experience with Deloitte.

Robert has been instrumental in building the Synergy Group into one of the leading government consulting firms having previously building Acumen into one of Australia's leading national accounting and consulting firms employing over 400 staff across offices in Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Robert's clients utilise his outstanding talent for strategic analysis and demonstrated track record in working collaboratively with leaders in organisations to achieve desired business outcomes. Robert's primary experience has been in the analysis of government service delivery and development of strategic road maps for improvement, assessments of outsourcing of organisational functions, establishment of shared services, operation of corporate information systems and costing and modelling of government services.
